Welcome To Golden Grace Farm
Equine Assisted Programs in Central Maine:
*Equine Facilitated Learning Sessions: A unique blend of equine education unlike traditional lesson barns. 75 minute sessions encompassing trust building and bonding with the horse, experiential learning, and riding when applicable, typically done on a recurring weekly schedule May-November, contact below for more information & scheduling.
*Equine Assisted Life Coaching: Stressed, stuck, seeking motivation? These unmounted equine guided sessions take place with a Life Coach and equine coaches, focused on the horse’s insights around client goals for happiness, health and wellness. Generally done short term in 6-8 sessions. While therapeutic in nature, these sessions are not psychotherapy and should not be used in place of mental health services. No prior horse experience required.
*Beginning Horse Ownership workshops – a hands-on intensive for those who’ve always dreamed of owning their own horse but haven’t had the opportunity to explore the reality of what it is actually like! Workshops may also be structured for horse owners who’ve become aware of what they don’t know and wish to expand their education with kind & experienced guidance.
*Youth and Adult Wellness Circles – bi-monthly small gatherings (non-riding) within the horse herd centered on mindfulness and tuning in to oneself & the horses. Contact fmi and to register.
*Off-farm intuitive sessions (riding lessons, behavioral horse training, welfare & management consultations for your horse(s)): available for clients within 40 miles of Benton, Maine.

About the Instructor: Crystal is a lifelong horsewoman, and her journey has included professional barn management, co-facilitating equine therapy, and teaching children and adults from all walks of life about horses and how to ride as well as understand them in an all-encompassing way. She’s held a current riding instructor’s license since 2008, and also has a B.S. in Equine Management as well as an Equine Specialist certification through the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association. She teaches english and western, at the beginner-advanced levels but has a passion for guiding beginners as well as those who may have developed some fear of the horse that are seeking resolution and healing. A lifetime of seeing horses be misunderstood by others inspired her to teach lessons in a unique way at Golden Grace Farm, hence the focus on connection first and the privilege that is mounted work being second & earned. She also has a knack for training horses with behavioral issues, and enjoys traveling to training clients who wish to better understand their horses and are interested in cultivating a healthy partnership that includes a comprehensive approach to care, management and equine welfare. She also has training as a life coach and loves showing people how the clear messages from horses can positively influence and change one’s life. She believes that something new can be learned from horses every day, and enjoys sharing her optimistic perspectives with her lesson students.
